This course is a continuation of the C# Introduction course. Students will learn to define classes and how to build new classes by inheriting from existing classes. Students will create C# applications that read from and write to a database. Students will create C# to read and write binary files and to work XML data. Students will need a C# compiler. One is available for download for free.

Course Objectives
- Students will define classes in C#.
- Students will define classes in C# and use them to develop applications.
- Students will develop C# classes that are derived from other classes, define interfaces, structures and create class libraries.
- Students will create a database in preparation for writing C# applications which use databases.
- Students will write C# applications which use bound and unbound dataset controls.
- Students will write C# applications which work with ADO.NET classes.
- Students will write C# applications which read and write text and binary files.
- Students will write C# applications which read and process XML data.
- Students will write C# applications which use single and multiple document interfaces as well as menus, toolbars and help.
- Students will create a final C# application which demonstrates what they have learned in this course.

Prerequisites
This course is a continuation of the C# Introduction course. Students should have completed this course or be familiar with the topics covered in that course.
